Overview

TITAN Greece is offering an exceptional opportunity for a Civil Works Engineer to join our team at Elefsina Plant. This role involves a combination of technical capacity, project management skills and understanding of safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor civil works progress to ensure timely, within budget and according to quality standards completion, maintaining strict adherence to safety standards for all personnel and contractor teams.
  • Support project completion in additional company facilities as needed.
  • Stay informed about any facility issues, conduct site assessments and surveys to gather data on existing conditions, and recommend corrective actions. Once approved, collaborate with other departments to carry out the required civil works with minimal disruption to plant operations.
  • Prepare detailed specifications and budgets for civil infrastructure projects, construction or repair and liaise with the other departments to initiate the relevant tender process.
  • Ensure that plans, designs and the performed works comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Contribute to all processes required for obtaining building permits for planned projects and supervise large-scale construction within the plant.
  • Collaborate with other departments and coordinate with contractors – subcontractors as needed, oversee the work performed by them as required for each job to ensure completion in a safe, timely and qualitative manner.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management to meet the operational needs of the department.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline. (TEI/AEI)
  • 3+ years in construction supervision, project management, or civil engineering infrastructure and maintenance projects within an industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Proficient in construction processes, budgeting, and project documentation; familiarity with relevant building regulations and permit processes.
  • Deep commitment to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe environment for all employees and contractors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external contractors.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams, including contractors and subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough inspections, ability to assess complex situations, to identify problems and provide effective solutions, whilst maintaining high standards in project execution.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations.
  • Completion of military obligations (if applicable).
